When the worst thing about a restaurant is how popular it is, you know you must be onto a good thing! Owner, Sacha Meier makes everyone feel like an invited guest, and the waiters are incredibly friendly and provide great recommendations when queried. We were having too much fun enjoying the atmosphere of the place to pay a lot of attention to the menu, but “the bottom six” off the tapas list served us very well. We were there on a Sunday night, so got to experience the live music – perfectly jazzy and not too loud. A brilliant night out.

If I had a dollar for every time that “Lifehacker” has been the answer to, “Wow! Where’d you find that?” – I’d have lots of dollars. I don’t know for sure, exactly how many dollars, but if I wanted to find some free software that’d help me to calculate it easily, you can guess where I’d look. Lifehacker is the best kind of blog, it’s productivity focussed, but doesn’t restrict itself to computers, or even technology (you only have to see their suggestions about using a Moleskine). As they say on the site, “Think of Lifehacker as self-help for power users.”
This is exactly what an online flash game should be. If I’m playing an in-browser game, I’m not looking for bells, whistles, graphics and storylines; I’m looking for light-hearted fun. And Cursor Chaos is exactly that. It’s a series of 42 mini-games that are controlled with the arrow keys and the space bar. Each game must be completed within five seconds before moving to the next. Instructions are virtually non-existent, and learning the games is half the fun. After twenty minutes, I still haven’t made it through all of them, but I’m just about to go back and try again!

I didn’t hear this album until the start of 2008 (it was released August ’07) and it ended up being just about my favourite album from the whole year. I love the seamless threading of modern Australian hip-hop with the smooth ‘60s beats and endless samples. My favourite track would have to be “I Know a Place”; a funked-up, progressive disco beat, with some great sci-fi samples and tasty vocals. Think U.N.K.L.E featuring Shirley Bassey covering KC and the Sunshine Band during a telecast of the moon landing. If you’ve got eclectic music tastes, this is the album for you.
