Movie Review – In Bruges (2008) – 4 Stars

There’s a lot to like about Martin McDonagh’s ‘In Bruges’. Collin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson could certainly be the newbie and mentor in just about any job, but the fact that they’re hit-men just makes it more amusing. I’d just have like to see more of Fiennes. The visuals are stunning, the writing’s fantastic, and this is certainly enough to make this darkly comic film a ‘must see’. I’ve heard a lot of negative feedback about the amount of profanity in this film. And perhaps it’s just me, but while I was aware of it, it certainly didn’t seem gratuitous.
