Software Review – Xobni (Email Management) – 4 Stars
Here’s a question for anyone that uses Microsoft Outlook 2003; how annoyed are you by the lack of a legitimate search tool? That’s where Xobni (it’s ‘inbox’ backwards) can help. It sits in a sidebar, and once it’s done its initial scan, you’ve got practically instant search functionality by keyword, name, date, or even attachment. It also gives you the threaded conversation layout that Gmail has spoiled us with for so long. I would give it full marks, but sometimes it can be a bit of a resource hog; although that aspect has been vastly improved in the latest release.
