Movie Review – Watchmen (2009) – 3.5 Stars
I’m not sure why I didn’t enjoy this movie as much as I’d expected. It certainly seems like all the elements are there. The visuals are perfect for a graphic novel adaptation, the story-line, dialogue, costumes, and props all seem to fit the source material perfectly, and I loved the time-dilation used in most of the fight scenes. But for some reason, it didn’t hit me as a fantastic film. Perhaps ‘Watchmen’ will really find its niche as a new interpretation for fans of the original graphic novel, rather than an introduction for a new audience unfamiliar with the franchise.
