Book Review – ‘The Book of Kakuro’ by Gareth Moore – 4 Stars

I’ll freely admit to being a geek. I like riddles and problem solving, and instead of Playboy and Inside Sport beside my toilet, I have a book of Japanese number puzzles and a pencil. Kakuro puzzles are like number crosswords. They’re the arithmetic cousin of Sudoku. This book is good because it gives a brief introduction to the rules of Kakuro and shows some basic solving methods. It then gives you 101 puzzles of increasing difficulty, so you can work on your techniques as you go through. I know it’s lame, but this kind of thing is fun for me!
