TV Review – The Big Bang Theory (Season 1) – 3.5 Stars

Ok, Two post-doc theoretical physicists, an astronomer and an aeronautical Engineer walk onto a sic-com set. What do you get? Well, nothing yet. But put in Kaley Cuoco, some high-brow (and low-brow) jokes, and some very amusing dialogue and you’ve got the first season of “The Big Bang Theory”. There are elements of all these characters that you can identify with, but I think I get most of my enjoyment out of laughing at humour that most people wouldn’t get: “A ‘little misunderstand’?! Galileo and the Pope had a ‘little misunderstanding’!” Try episode 6 for Penny in a cat costume…
