Restaurant Review – Alpha Ouzeri (Fitzroy VIC) – 4 Stars

Luckily, we found a table for two still available at 8.30pm on Mothers Day. The place was bustling, the music was loud, and waiters were buzzing around tables while overcharged Greek family conversations went on around us. The banquet option was a fantastic way to avoid tough decisions over the extensive menu, and was incredibly well priced. We had about six different entrees and just as many mains and deserts, and could only eat about a third of what was served. Spiced lamb cutlets were a highlight for me, but the octopus salad, saganaki and fried whitebait were also favourites.
